Empennage, Elevator (Part 19)

I'm getting closer and closer to completing the Elevator assembly.  I started tonight by Akzo priming the four parts shown below.  I prepared them yesterday with Alumiprep/Alodine and allowed them to dry over night.  Here are the four pieces after being sprayed with primer.

The Brace and two additional nutplates were installed on the Trim Tab Reinforment Doubler as shown below.

The five Ribs, plus the Trim Access Reinforcement Doubler, were next to get rivets.  Here is a shot of the completed Ribs on the Left Elevator assembly.

After all the Ribs were installed, I clecoed the Left Bottom Skin to the Rear Spar.  These pieces will now get riveted together where you see the row of clecos.  I was able to use the pneumatic squeezer for the rivets on the left side, but will have to use a modified bucking bar as described in the plans to set the ones on the right under the aft portion of the Elevator.

The Left Elevator Horn was installed on the Front Spar with twelve AN470AD4-4 universal rivets.

The three pieces below were riveted together and will form the Support structure for the ES-MSTS-T3-12A Trim Servo (additional pictures below).  The second picture shows the Trim Servo clecoed to the assembly.  The thrid picture is a different angle showing the Trim Servo clecoed to the assembly and with the wires routed through the system hole.  Molex connectors will be put on the ends of the wires for electrical connection.
